However, these two ingredients come with some side effects, including lethargy, headaches and increased heart rate.
What are honey wraps?
The health benefits of honey are undeniable. In fact, this food has been on the list of super foods for a long time. It’s extremely beneficial against many health problems including common cold and flu, as well as chronic cough. Using honey wraps to fight cough and cold symptoms is one of the most efficient home remedies against this type of ailments. This DIY method to treat cough and cold is beneficial for both kids and adults.
Directions:
- Honey
- Olive Oil
- Napkin
- Gauze
- Flour
- Band-Aid adhesive tape
Start by mixing some flour and honey. When the mixture is not sticking to your hands, it’s ready to use as a compress. Add some olive oil and then roll it in some flour again. It’s best to do the treatment before going to bed.
Important: When using this treatment on children, do it 3 hours before they go to bed, so that you remove the compress immediately before bedtime. However, when using it for an adult, the honey wraps can be left on overnight. Also, make sure you change your bed sheets because they will trigger a lot of sweating. Repeat the treatment for as many nights as you need or until you get a complete cough relief.
